What this covers

The Get Quotes page (`/get-quotes`) — a faster alternative to browsing categories one business at a time.

How it works

1. Describe your job once — you can type it in plain language ("my geyser is leaking and needs urgent repair") and use Auto-fill category & urgency to let the same AI concierge used elsewhere on the site suggest a category and urgency for you.
2. Pick your city and confirm the category.
3. Submit. Your request goes out to every verified business in that category and city — up to 5.

Why it's built this way

Other South African directories route your request through an anonymous matching algorithm, so you never know who actually got it until they call you. Allsorts Directory shows you the real business names on the confirmation screen — the same transparency principle behind booking-locked reviews: no black boxes.

A note on paying advertisers

Businesses with an active Featured, Premium, or Premium Hero placement always receive every matching quote request in their category and city — that's part of what the placement pays for. If there's room left after all paying advertisers in that category/city are included, free verified listings fill the remaining slots (capped at 5 total).

What happens next

Each business receives your request the same way a direct callout works — they can see it, respond via WhatsApp, email, or phone, and mark it Seen/Quoted/Scheduled/Completed. Track all your requests from My requests in your account.

If nobody matches

If no verified business exists yet in that exact category and city, you'll see a message instead of a silent failure — and a link to invite a business to list.
